About Tearoom

The Fringe Production of Tearoom follows a sell out tour which went down a storm in tearoom festooned Dorset. Its unique concept gave the audiences such a memorable theatrical experience that many have already booked to see it (or eavesdrop) again! Festival goers can enjoy a break from the norm of the busy rush and give themselves a tearoom oasis that will not leave them feeling hungry, for food nor thought.

Relax: no audience participation, just an inquisitive ear!

All performances are 2hrs including an interval. All tickets include some cake, a cup of tea or coffee and a programme.

Whilst Tearoom is not in performance, the tearoom venue itself will be running as a simple tearoom, serving refreshments and snacks.

Quotes From Reviews

So believable are the characters that the snippets of their lives take the audience on a roller coaster of emotion with a sprinkling of laughs on the way. If you find it hard to believe that the flavour of soup can be a catalyst to the breakdown of a marriage, then you need to see ‘tearoom.

Janine Pulford: Viewpoint Magazine

What Tanya Alexander has done is to keenly observe tics, mannerisms and speech patterns, creating memorable characters.” “This is an inventive play written specifically for site-generic performance, and brilliantly done by the excellent cast.

Gay Pirrie-Weir: Stour and Avon Magazine

This talented group of actors show us several scenarios of love and life. It would be impossible to pick out any weak links in this production as there were none. The whole cast was outstanding.
